I am acting for a firm that is  developing a growing reputation in the consenting (i.e. NSIPs, DCO, TWAO etc) space, and is on all the necessary panels.  With a growing team and great pipeline there are opportunities for senior lawyers who want a clear route to partnership.

You will already have exposure to the DCO procedures and looking to gain additional autonomy and responsibility on these big projects, including big teams and client relationship management. The department are definitely looking for partners of the (near) future, so talented lawyers will have an assured career track.

My exposure to this team indicates that you will find; affable and personable partners, ambitious leadership that wants to grow this area, all the necessary panel appointments (ccs etc, but also plenty of exposure to higher paying private sector clients), and infrastructure and other practice areas that can support these big scale projects and sector expertise and profile.

The firm has a network of UK (and European, admittedly less relevant in this particular practice area) offices and they are location agnostic, so you could be based wherever suits you. And, at whatever level you join, there is an expectation that you will be a fundamental part of helping to grow and develop this team as it continues to win more market share.
