Our national firm client is seeking to hire a further corporate partner for its London office who has ECM corporate experience and a corresponding network.

The firm has a sizeable corporate team across its office network but London is very much the hub for the firm’s ECM and corporate finance practice. Typical capital markets deals are up to a value of c. £100m and the existing partners have developed a good profile (and rankings) in this part of the small to mid-market.

Inevitably for this sort of role you will be expected to bring some of your own network to the firm and hopefully one that can add to an impress portfolio of existing small banks, corp fin houses and brokers. In addition, the team are looking for people who are also willing to join them in their rolling marketing and business development activity. The partners have all the necessary support departments in place to help on these sorts of deals, together with well-trained associates. You will have the chance in London to build your practice with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility on pricing if you can push work to other parts of the network.

The office in London is in growth mode, well supported by the rest of the network and in a buoyant and confident mood after an excellent financial year. The partners we speak to, many who have come from top 20 firms, all talk to the strong culture of the firm and a management which exhibits a ‘light touch’.
