Our client is a prestigious and highly successful litigation boutique based in the City of London and we are proud to be working with the firm to hire a Regulatory Compliance Counsel.

The current internal risk and compliance team is comprised of 4 people with this new role being added due to growth. It is a small and friendly team with a can-do attitude and desire to deliver a great service.

The role will cover a multitude of issues ranging from client engagement and retainer queries, professional indemnity insurance and renewals, regulatory risk management, internal audits, SRA compliance and commercial contracts negotiations. This is not an exhaustive list, and the successful individual will have an opportunity to support in other areas such as data protection.

We are seeking a robust mid-level lawyer qualified in England and Wales, who has worked in a robust private practice or in-house environment. Experience of handling law firm regulatory and compliance issues is highly desirable but comparable experience gained in a similar environment will be considered.

You must be a self-starter with strong technical, communication and organisational skills. You should have a positive approach to work and be keen to take on responsibly in a fast-paced environment. Being part of a small team will require fluidity and cooperation, so it is important you enjoy working closely with others and are supportive and collaborative with colleagues.
