Our client is a prestigious offshore law firm and professional services business supporting the world’s most important financial institutions.  It is frequently rated as one of the top tier multi-jurisdictional offshore law firms globally and has offices in the key international offices the Caribbean, the Channel Islands, the Middle East and closer to home in Ireland and London.

We are supporting the continued growth of the exceptional London based global risk and compliance team.  Currently housing over 50 legal and compliance advisors the team is dedicated to providing a robust service to the firm advising on conflicts, business acceptance, AML, financial crime, solicitors regulation, general commercial and more.

We are currently seeking a subject matter expert in financial crime, including AML/CFT, anti-bribery and corruption, tax evasion and fraud to fulfil a critical role within the financial crime advisory team.  The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the firm has effective policies and procedures and to ensure compliance with all rules, regulations and laws in the jurisdictions it operates.  This includes horizon scanning, monitoring, suggesting, and devising new processes, training and mentoring other members of staff and providing guidance and expertise to the firms R&C team. 

This role requires in-depth knowledge of financial crime regulation, here in the UK and overseas, and a keen interest in keeping abreast of the upcoming changes. 

This is a challenging and varied position with a lot of depth and coverage. It will offer the new postholder a chance to tackle some significant financial crime risk issues across the globe.  Our client is also committed to career development so the long-term prospects are good.
